AA&C is a U.K.-based entity and complies with the consumer protection laws of the U.K. In addition, we operate in a transparent manner and our contracts do not leave any ambiguous interpretations.

We’re first and foremost an art advisory & consultancy but we have extensive contacts in the Wealth Management and Hedge Fund spheres (full disclosure: Delaware-domiciled and S.E.C. regulated Indur-Vishni Wealth Management LLC is a sister company) and this gives us a deeper, alternative perspective on the art markets. If, for example, we know storm clouds are gathering (a period of volatility or a prolonged recession), we can assume the negative impact on the art markets.

Although we’re based in the U.K. and we focus exclusively on Modern & Contemporary Indian art, we have a worldwide (yet discrete) reach. You may find us at a Saffronart auction in London one day and on another we might be doing the rounds of the galleries in New York during Asia Week. And, we brave the heat and dust of India to get to grips with the latest developments so that you don’t have to.

While auction houses generally produce their own post-event reports (and invariably and inevitably over-use the adjective ‘robust’ to describe sales), we do not rely on their reports for an assessment of the sales. We prepare our own, more thorough report that may not align with the auction houses’ perky reports.

We believe that accessibility to Modern & Contemporary Indian art, especially it’s history, should be widespread and available outside the rarefied and snooty gallery spaces. Therefore, in partnership with our parent company (Vishni Media Ltd), we are committed to producing a multi-part documentary on the history of 20th century Indian art. Watch this space.
